Experience Enhanced Security: Passwordless Authentication on Our Demo Nextcloud Server
Secure Collaboration with Nextcloud
Nextcloud is a versatile open-source software platform that enables users to store files, collaborate on documents, and communicate with team members securely over the cloud. It provides a flexible, secure environment for managing data, sharing resources, and enhancing productivity—all under your full control.
Our public demo server, fortified with the CodeB Authenticator, offers you a firsthand experience of Nextcloud’s powerful capabilities with an added layer of security. Experience the convenience and robust protection of our Nextcloud server and see how it can transform the way you work collaboratively.
True Passwordless Authentication
The CodeB Authenticator App, equipped with an OpenID Connect Identity Provider, offers a secure, passwordless login system for Nextcloud. Upon your first login, the server will automatically create your Nextcloud user profile. This process might take a short while, so your patience is appreciated.
Users can authenticate using cryptographic key material stored in their mobile’s secure storage or through NFC-enabled identity cards, such as the Maltese Identity Card, German Health Professional Card, German Health Insurance Card, or D-Trust Signature Cards.
After you opted to log in with the “CodeB Authenticator” or an
“ID card”, a QR code will be displayed. Simply scan this QR code with the CodeB Authenticator to access Nextcloud.
Many supported NFC Cards
The CodeB Authenticator is compatible with a wide variety of digital identification forms, including eIDAS Tokens, National Identity Cards, Health Professional Cards (HBA), and Health Insurance Cards (eGK).
To determine if your card is compatible, simply open the “Card Reader” feature in the Authenticator App, input your CAN number, and place your mobile device on your card. A green progress bar at the top will show the creation of a secure connection to your card. When this connection is established, you’ll be able to view certain details, like your name.
If your card is not supported please do not hesitate to contat us to implement it.
