Everything you need to prove who you are, digitally

One app for your official documents and the credentials you collect, under your control.

Your digital ID (PID)

Store the person identification data (PID) a trusted issuer gives you.

Mobile driving licence

Keep your mDL (ISO/IEC 18013-5) on your phone and show it in person.

More attestations

Membership cards, a health insurance card (EHIC) and other attestations, as issuers offer them.

Selective disclosure

Share only what is needed, for example just “over 18” instead of your date of birth.

In person and online

Online by OpenID4VP; in person by QR code, NFC or Bluetooth.

Verify documents

Check someone else’s digital ID, mDL or just “over 18” in person: scan the QR code in their wallet and receive the data over Bluetooth. You see whether it is genuine, unchanged, valid, not revoked and from a trusted issuer. Nothing is stored.

Remote signatures

Sign documents with a remote signing service (CSC v2), confirmed in the wallet. The signature level is that of the signing service: qualified with a qualified trust service provider; CodeB’s own signing service creates advanced electronic signatures.

Four steps from issuer to verifier

Get a credential

Request your PID or mDL from an issuer via OpenID4VCI. You choose your issuers in Settings.

Keep it on your phone

The credential is stored on your device. Its keys sit in the Android hardware-backed keystore, and the wallet is locked with your PIN or biometrics.

Present it

In person by QR code, NFC or Bluetooth (ISO/IEC 18013-5), or online via OpenID4VP.

You decide what to share

Before anything leaves your phone, you see who is asking and why, and approve only the attributes you choose.

Built on open European and international standards

  • EU Architecture and Reference Framework (ARF)
  • eIDAS 2.0, Regulation (EU) 2024/1183
  • OpenID for Verifiable Credential Issuance (OpenID4VCI)
  • OpenID for Verifiable Presentations (OpenID4VP)
  • ISO/IEC 18013-5 (mobile driving licence)
  • SD-JWT VC and ISO mdoc credential formats
  • ETSI trusted lists

Why standards matter

  • Works with services built on the EU framework.
  • Designed and maintained in Malta, inside the EU.

Privacy by design: your data stays with you

Hardware-backed keys

Credential keys live in the Android hardware-backed keystore and cannot be copied out.

PIN and biometrics

The wallet is protected by a PIN and, if you like, by biometrics.

Trusted issuers

Issuers are checked against ETSI trusted lists before a credential is accepted.

Revocation checks

The wallet checks whether a credential has been revoked.

On your device

Your credentials are on your phone, not in a CodeB cloud.

Minimal disclosure

You share only the attributes a service asks for and you approve.

Frequently asked questions

What is CodeB Wallet?

CodeB Wallet is an Android app for the European Digital Identity (EUDI) framework under eIDAS 2.0. It holds your PID, your mobile driving licence and other credentials, and lets you share only what a situation requires. It is developed by Aloaha Limited in Malta.

What is an EUDI wallet?

A European Digital Identity Wallet is an app that keeps official identity data and other attestations on your phone, so you can prove who you are in person and online across the EU, sharing only the data that is needed.

Which documents can I store?

Your PID (person identification data), your mobile driving licence (ISO/IEC 18013-5) and attestations such as membership cards or a health insurance card (EHIC), as issuers offer them.

Can I verify someone else’s ID?

Yes. With “Verify a document” you choose what you need, for example only “over 18”, and scan the QR code in the other person’s wallet. After they agree, the data arrives over Bluetooth. The app checks the issuer’s signature against trusted certificates, that the data is unchanged and belongs to the presenting phone, the validity period and the revocation status. The data is deleted when you close the result.

Does it work in person and online?

Yes: in person by QR code, NFC or Bluetooth, and online by OpenID4VP.

What is selective disclosure?

You share only the attributes a service needs, for example “over 18” instead of your full date of birth.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Keys are kept in the Android hardware-backed keystore and unlocked with your PIN or biometrics. There is no CodeB cloud copy of your credentials.

Is CodeB Wallet certified?

Not yet. It is designed with eIDAS 2.0 certification in mind.

Which issuers can I use?

You choose your issuers in Settings, including the CodeB issuer. Issuers are checked against ETSI trusted lists.
