Aloaha supported smartcards and signature cards

All smartcards and signature cards which are distributed with a Windows CSP are supported by Aloaha. To make smartcards compatible with standard windows applications Microsoft introduced the CSP standard.

When purchasing a smartcard or signature card it must be major criteria that the smartcard can be used by all standard Windows Applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Office.

Re-writable Smartcards

It is suggested by Aloaha that as a re-writeable smartcard the SiCrypt Card of Infineon should be used. The advantage of the SiCrypt is that the CSP is allready included in windows per default. In case you would like to use the SiCrypt for Batch Signatures Aloaha also supports this card natively to cache CSP based PIN confirmations!

Commercial Smartcards

A good choice when purchasing a commercial smartcard is the T-Systems TeleSec Card! The TeleSec card is natively supported and does not require a CSP to work with Aloaha. It has been reported by our customer that the TeleSec Card card is the ideal card for batch signing of invoices!

Native Supported Smartcards

Smartcards which are supported by Aloaha can be used for digital signatures without having to install a card driver or CSP. Native supported cards can be accessed faster! Other features are that Aloaha offers special editions for mass signatures/PIN caching. Please contact support for details.

National digital Identity Cards

The following national identity cards have been reported to be compatible with the Aloaha PDF Suite:

	The Belgian electronic identity card Belgium is one of the fi rst countries in the world where the electronic identity card substitutes the conventional identity card, containing identity details in both physical and digital format. The eID card has the format of a bankcard and contains printed basic identity information in visual format such as name, ID card number and a photograph. Additionally, it’s equipped with a chip containing the same identity information as its printed equivalent, carrying two digital certifi cates – one for digital signature and one for authentication - directly linking your physical identity to your electronic identity.
