Search for People
Sometimes it is required to send an encrypted document to a person which public key and/or email address is not known. Unfurtunatly there is no single database like a telephone book to lookup such information.
Public keys can be found and looked up via LDAP in the PKI infrastructure the recipient is using. In case the PKI is not known the
Aloaha Key Finder could be used.
The
Aloaha Key Finder uses a plain text file contain a list of popular PKIs and will search these PKIs for the recipients public key.
Windows People search

Once the person is found the public key can be accessed and exported in the Digital IDs Tab. From the General Tab you can add that person to your address book. With adding a person to the address book the public key becomes accessible from the Aloaha PDF Crypter.

To add a LDAP Server to be queried by the Windows Search please open your Outlook Express.
In
Tools -> Account -> Directory Service you can press the

Sometimes it is required to configure the LDAP search base. To configure the search base please double click on your newly created search server and go into the advanced tab. There you are able to configure the search base.
