Aloaha PDF Page Imposition

Aloaha PDF imposes your PDF Documents. It combines pages onto larger (or same size) sheets to make books, booklets, or special arrangements.

PDF imposition is the process of assembling pages or page elements for printing. Imposition includes the alignment of business card sheets for correct printing, such that the edges precisely match the lines along which the stock will be cropped. Another pertinent example would be the process of sorting the pages of a booklet or brochure to display correctly after folding.

Final Paper Format

The first or the last step should be the definition of the final paper format. To define the printer paper format please browse to Document > Resize Media. The default values in the dialog are the actual values of the current document. To increase the Media from A4 to A3 just double the value. Please find the original PDF sample as A3 below.
This step can be skipped if the final paper format is the same as the original document.

Imposition type

Finally you must choose the type of page imposition. Aloaha offers simple N-up imposition and foldable booklet (4:1 2:3 ...) imposition. To choose simple N-up just choose Document > Reduce Pages. The more popular foldable booklet imposition can be called from Document >Make Booklet.
