Why do I need a PDF Saver?

Free PDF Reader software is not able to save form data to disk. That means that as soon you close the reader all data entered into the PDF form is lost. The Aloaha PDF Saver allows you to save the PDF INCLUSIVE the form data to disk.

As soon I save a PDF form to disk the form data changes to garbage. Why?

The evaluation version of the Aloaha PDF Saver does not support encrypted PDF Documents. If you own allready a license for the Aloaha PDF Editor you can use the Aloaha PDF Editor to remove any PDF Security without even knowing the password. The full version of the Aloaha PDF Saver fully supports encrypted PDF Documents. Please ask for an evaluation key to test it out.

How do I use the Form Saver OCX in my own applications?

The source code of the Aloaha PDF Saver is included in the installation package. Download it from http://www.aloaha.com/download/aloaha_saver.zip. The sample code can be found in \sample\formsaver and should answer all your questions.

How can I configure Windows to use the Saver as default PDF Handler?

Right click on a PDF Document and choose open with, choose program.
In the upcoming dialog please browse to the PDFSaver.exe and enable the checkbox to always use the Saver to open PDF Documents.

Can I make the Aloaha PDF Saver the default handler for PDF Files?

Sure, just make sure to use open with when you right click on a PDF File and choose the Aloaha PDF Saver exe for the first time.

I am using the OCX version and set the property buttonpage = -1. But I do not get the save button on every page.

The property buttonpage = -1 works only with PDF documents which have been saved with Aloaha before.

What is the difference between Adobe and Aloaha Mode?

In Aloaha Mode there is NO Adobe PDF Reader required!
