The Aloaha PDF Crypter is able to read the public key from certificates of the current user store, local admin store, and current user address book and from a folder on disk. If you need to use *.cer files there is no need to import them into one of the windows certificate stores. You can simply drop the *.cer file to the certdir subfolder of the Aloaha PDF Crypter installation directory. The path of the certdir can be reconfigured in HKCU\Software\Aloaha\crypter\certdir
Export the public key of a certificate as *.cer file
The easiest way to export a public key as *.cer file is to use the Certificate Manager included in Windows. To start the Certificate Manager run “certmgr.msc” from the windows Startmenu/Run.
To export the public key of a certificate please right click on it and choose All Tasks/Export. In the next dialog please choose "DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER)"
Aloaha PDF Crypter
