Citrix and TerminalServer PDF FAQ

The Aloaha PDF Suite has been designed to work perfectly inside Citrix Metaframe or Windows Terminal Services sessions. In fact, some of the Aloaha features, such as the registry2ini mapping, automailer, script engine and PDF sorter, have been introduced for specifically for the demands of the enterprise market, to ensure lower cost of ownership and simpler management.

Unfortunately, it has been reported that user profiles are not being unloaded or that roaming profiles do not reconcile. This is very dependant on the version of Citrix/Terminal Services version and patches installed. It has always best practice to keep your server up to the highest patch level.

Since the enterprise environment usually prohibits an immediate installtion of patches as they are released Microsoft released an additional windows service which takes care that profiles are being unloaded correctly and roaming profiles being reconciled. This service is called "UPHClean".
