Aloaha starts free Signature Validation Web Service

As the creation of digital signatures became a commodity now there is still a lack of awareness of the importance to validate signatures of received documents. Aloaha now integrated a Signature Validation Web Service in its Validation Products Aloaha Medic sign and Aloaha sign.

The new Aloaha Validation Web Service can be reached online via http://www.aloaha.com/validator. The usage is free of charge but limited to SHA-1 signatures.

For technical and confidentiality reasons it is sometimes required that documents do not leave the enterprise. In such cases owner of an Aloaha Enterprise Professional License can install Aloaha Medic sign or Aloaha sign and share the folder <program files>Wrocklage\WebService\Validator as IIS .NET Web Application.
Please note that licensed and local installed Validation Web Services do support also SHA-256.

What are Web Services?

A Web Service is programmable application logic accessible via standard Web protocols. One of these Web protocols is the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). SOAP is a W3C submitted note (as of May 2000) that uses standards based technologies (XML for data description and HTTP for transport) to encode and transmit application data.

Consumers of a Web Service do not need to know anything about the platform, object model, or programming language used to implement the service; they only need to understand how to send and receive SOAP messages (HTTP and XML).
